CD1 updates :)
Thankfully my period started right on time, on Monday January 30th. I called my RE and I am scheduled to go in Wednesday morning for my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork. I am keeping everything crossed that there will be no cysts and all my hormone levels are within range. I am continuing with my lupron 10 units a day.
If everything is good tomorrow, I'll start my stims, and that should bring me to a retrieval/transfer the week of Valentine's Day :) I was supposed to go to Germany that week for work, but now I have to think of a good excuse to tell them why I can't go, lol.
On a separate but somewhat related note, my college roommate had a baby boy over the weekend!! I am so happy for her, I can't wait to go down and visit her (she lives in NJ and I am in Boston) so I need to plan around my IVF cycle & protocols and when she is ready for a guest. I am hoping by the end of the month.
I'll update tomorrow with the results!!
Woo hoo - and off we go!
I FINALLY passed! My b/w revealed that I have O'd, and the value was at 7.8 today! YAY
I am about 2 dpo today, so I get to start the Lupron tomorrow, 10 units. I take that through my next AF, which should be in 2 weeks or less. Then I'll go in for b/w and an ultrasound for my baseline measurements before starting the stim drugs.
I am so happy, I am on CD 22 now (I think?) so that is pretty good, considering my cycles are long naturally.
More updates to follow :)
So close! But not quite there yet
but I am getting closer ;)
My b/w today needed to be at least 4 to move forward, and it came in at 3.9 ~ figures LOL. I go back on Wednesday, and my nurse said most likely it'll be good to go to start on Thursday - woo hoo!
I got a quick snapsnot of my protocol, but more details to follow:
Lupron - 10 units to start thru AF
Then, when it is time to start stimming, I'll be doing 1 unit of Reprenox in the morning, and 75 units of Follistim in the evenings, and the Lupron will be cut down.
When we do the transfer, we're doing Assisted Hatching.
I'll update again Wednesday with those results :)
CD21 update
Well, went in on Friday the 13th for my CD21 bloodwork. Shocking, it came back negative, lol. It was 1.2, which means I haven't O'd yet this cycle. I go back in on Monday the 16th for another panel. I took an OPK Saturday afternoon, it was a +, so hopefully I'll O this weekend and Monday's test will indicate that I have O'd.
Another fun thing on Friday was that when I got to work, and took of my jacket, I had a HUGE amount of blood all over my sleeve. Of course, instead of wearing the dark sweater I had planned on, I went with a white shirt, so it was ruined, and I had to go to the Employee Store/Gift shop and buy a windbreaker to wear over the shirt, b/c when I tried to wash the blood off, it went EVERYWHERE and made it 100x worse. One of the engineers I work with saw me coming out of the bathroom and asked if I had a gunshot wound LOL. Fun, fun, fun.
I'll update Monday when I get those b/w results back.
Starting over :)
Okay, so I am not good about posting about myself on the boards, so I figure a blog is the easiest way to document our journey :)
My New Year's Resolution (or, one of them at least) is to maintain this blog and update it often. So far, I am off to a fantastic start! Unfortunately, I don't have much to say today LOL.
On the TTC front, I am in the beginning stages of my second fresh IVF cycle. We did one last January, which worked, but not for long :( and it ended as a chemical pregnancy. My beta did not go above 40 - which we chose to look at in a positive way - we had never received a 40 before! Our FET cycle in May = BFN. So, onto a new year and a new IVF cycle :) I am waiting to go in for b/w on the 13th to see if I've ovulated, and if so, I'll start the Lupron. I am doing a new protocol this time around, so I am not exactly sure what drugs I'll be doing when, but once I know, I'll post it here, along with all my u/s and b/w results.
On the personal front, Brian and I had a great holiday season. We both had off the week between Xmas and New Year's, and I think we were the TWO laziest people on earth, LOL. We sat around most of the week in our sweats and watched TV, napped, and ate. We both work long hours, and we were pretty burned out - so it felt great to lounge and relax :)
